2010 Lotus Evora

The 2010 Evora is the first all-new vehicle for Lotus since the Elise in 1995. The company calls the new model the world’s only production mid-engined 2+2. Fewer than 2,000 cars will be built each year.

The Evora uses a 3.5-litre V6, sourced from Toyota and tuned by Lotus, with a six-speed manual transmission. The company claims a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration of just over five seconds, with a top speed of over 260 km/h.

Features include 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, heated mirrors, touch-screen multi-media system, “floating” rear wing, leather Recaro sport seats with manual adjustment, leather upper door trim panels, flat-bottomed leather and magnesium tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution, shift indicator light, keyless entry, trip computer, and CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and iPod interface.

Available options include a Tech Package, which adds an upgraded stereo, navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, parking sensors and tire pressure monitoring system; a Premium Pack, which includes full leather interior and accent lighting; and a Sport Pack, with enhanced throttle response, sport traction control, sport diffuser, titanium tailpipe, cross-drilled brake discs, black-painted brake calipers and oil cooler.

Customers will also be able to order the Evora with a luggage compartment in place of the two small rear seats.
